Monica Lingegård was elected chairman of SSC Board at the General Meeting on 22 April.
- The company is now entering a new phase, where the demand for delivery of advanced space services on a new global commercial market is increasing. At the same time the more traditional institutional space market is developing, with new needs in the global scientific community as well as in society in general. The change that the company has gone through, with global advanced space services in focus, is absolutely right. It is very stimulating to be entrusted to lead this business, especially as it can contribute to a more sustainable global society, Monica comments on her new position.
Hans Karlander has chosen leave his assignment after five years as chairman.
- Hans has been very engaged and has made great and appreciated contributions to the company during his years as chairman, said Eva Lindström, State Secretary of the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, at the meeting.
- It has been interesting years in an interesting company with a bright future in a growing industry. I am pleased to hand over to Monica, says Hans.
Monica Lingegård is CEO of Samhall since 2011. She was born in 1962 and received an MBA at Stockholm University in 1987. Monica has more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions; including CEO of the security company G4S in Sweden and Prenax (global subscription agent). She also has a consultant background in IT and management consulting, at Cap Gemini and Spray Razorfish. In 2015, she received the Swedish award CEO of the Year.
At the same time Maria Palm from L.E.K. Consulting LLP in London was elected new member of the Board. She replaces Åsa Hedin, who leaves her post at her own request.
